Stored and served from Europe
Your data is stored and served from the EU (Ireland). A small number of vetted providers, such as our AI and email services, process limited data outside the UK/EU under standard contractual safeguards, all listed in our privacy policy.

Your information is sealed off so that only you, and the people you personally choose to invite, can ever open it. No other dentist can see your data.
Your practice login stays secret
The link between Praxis and your practice software is scrambled before it's stored, so your login can't be read by anyone, including us.
No patient names, only IDs
Praxis stores no patient names, phone numbers, emails, addresses or clinical records, only the Dentally Patient ID, a reference number that means nothing to anyone without access to your practice software. There is no patient list inside Praxis to leak or take.

Praxis gives your associates their own numbers, without putting your patient data, your practice, or your peace of mind at risk. Here are the questions managers ask us most, answered plainly.
?Could an associate use Praxis to walk off with our patient list?
No. Praxis never stores patient names, phone numbers, emails or addresses, only the Dentally Patient ID, a reference number that's meaningless to anyone without access to your practice software. There's simply no patient list inside Praxis to export or take, making it a safer home for associate analytics than a spreadsheet pulled from Dentally.
?Is it GDPR-compliant?
It's built GDPR-first. No patient personal or clinical data is stored, only Patient IDs, and everything is hosted on secure servers in the EU (Ireland). The connection to Dentally is strictly read-only, so Praxis never writes anything back. Our full Privacy Policy is linked just below.
?Can one associate see another's earnings, or the practice's?
Never. Each associate is sealed into their own data at the database level, not just hidden in the interface, and we verify that isolation with automated tests. No associate can see another's income, patients or notes, and no one sees practice-wide finances they aren't entitled to.
?Could our wider practice data be exposed?
Praxis only ever reads each associate's own performance through their read-only token. Whole-practice financials, other clinicians' records and clinical notes are never pulled or stored. The token itself is encrypted before storage, unreadable by anyone, including us.
?How does a manager get access, and can we control it?
You only ever see an associate's figures after they approve your request, granted per associate, and revocable by either of you at any time. Access is consent-gated by design, and protected with optional two-factor login and a one-tap “log out everywhere.”
?What happens when an associate leaves?
Their data leaves with them, your patients don't, because Praxis never held their identities in the first place. There's nothing for a leaver to extract, and any practice data tied to them can be removed on request.

The story behind Praxis
Meet the founder
Praxis was built by Dr Syed Ali, a UK associate dentist working across multiple practices. Like most associates, he could not see his own numbers: earnings scattered across practices, follow-ups nobody was tracking, and tax a yearly surprise.
Syed worked in tech roles whilst juggling dental school, and built software products alongside his training. In 2022 he stepped away from tech to focus fully on dentistry, from restorative care through to implant surgery.
Praxis brings the two together: a dentist's understanding of the job, built with a developer's care. Syed still works clinically every week, which is why Praxis fits the way associates actually work. When something in Praxis saves you an evening of spreadsheets, it is because it first saved him one.
